Sow the wind and reap the whirlwind

This proverb literally means that if we sow superior qualities seeds we get excellent harvest but if we sow inferior qualities seeds we get less harvest. And also it means that if we sow the seed of a particular crop, we would reap the same crop and not same other crop.
This is very meaningful proverb. This proverb metaphorically means that the results or the fruitfulness that we get depends on the manner in which we put forth our efforts. In other words to reap or to get a good result we should put forth our effort in the results oriented and right way. Other wise we may have to face ill effects spoiling our precious time and efforts. If a student studies well, then he will high marks and will secure a high position in life. If one is lazy or hesitant to study well he will have to face failure not only in the examination but also in life. In New Testament we can read a metaphorical story said by Jesus to illustrate this proverb. Jesus said; to reap the wheat, sow the excellent seeds of wheat. One who sows the seeds of wheat won’t reap maize and garner them. In the similar way if you do well to others you will receive well. On the other hand if you harm others you; ll receive harm. So, one cannot make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear. Lord Randolph Churchill’s noble dead, once done saved his son’s life.
