The USA Food and drug administration has given approval to a new mobile radiology software application which will allow physicians to view medical images on apple i phone or i pad. By using this software the radiology images taken in the hospital or clinic can be sent to any appropriate portable wireless device. The images are first compressed for secure network transmission. Then they can be transmitted using MIMcloud, its an internet service using which the images can be uploaded and downloaded safely. A secret passcode can be set by the user by which the non image information can be prevented from unauthorised access. This mobile MIM application has labelling and safety features, so that the radiology images can be even understood in any lightning conditions. This MIM software can b very helpful even if the physician don’t have access to any medical hospital or work station. This MIM application is free to download and is intended for use by physicians.
