We use the printer in printing important documents that we use in school, presentations and even in business purposes. I think it is wise if we will have knowledge on the basic parts or accessories of the printer machine. One of the important parts of a printer is the ink cartridges, laser toner cartridges and printer ribbons. So what are these stuff really are? Let’s discuss them one by one.
Printer ink cartridges or inkjet cartridges are the component of an inkjet printer that contains the ink that is being imprinted on the paper. These printer ink cartridges are replaceable when the ink runs dry. The ink cartridges can be black or colored. The ink cartridges have a sort of communication device installed that enables it to communicate with the printer machine; following the input of information coming from the printer, the printer ink cartridges will do the command of the machine by releasing the ink and printing it to the paper. Printer ink cartridges usually have a thermal inkjet that allows heat to manipulate the ink. During the printing process, heat will be conducted on these thermal inkjet, warming the ink so that it will be applied on the paper. This process happens so fast and can be altered if the available ink runs out.
Laser toner cartridges are the spendable element of a laser printer. These laser toner cartridges contain powder that consists of several ingredients that are used in the printing process. The powder is heated when electrical impulses take place during the printing process, heating the powder and making it printable on the paper. The laser toner cartridges are usually expensive; sometimes it is more expensive than the laser printer machine itself. That’s why, refilling of these toner cartridges are available on the market.
Printer ribbons are the printing component of a dot matrix printer. Similar to a typewriter, these printer ribbons can print texts on the paper. This takes place when the printer machine supplies the information to be printed then these data will be printed on the paper by striking the printer ribbons against the paper. The quality or characteristic of the prints are made out of dots that are connected to each other, forming the desired print. That’s why it is called “dot matrix printer” due to the dots that are printed that forms the texts.
